Default Some people lead a sad existence.

I respect that people are entitled to their opinion, but this guy takes the cake for people that are just plain miserable.

just read through his lists....this guy has something wrong in his head. i think Christopher Nolan must have ran over his dog.

Yeah, I call that "Negative Nancy Syndrome."

The main reason I hate my internet forum addiction is because there are so many people like that who have to be negative about everything and go around bashing and over-criticizing everything they consume.

Life's too damn short to go around being negative about hobbies for god's sake! If I see a movie (or read a book or play a video game etc.) that I don't like, I at most make a short post or two about why I didn't like it and move on to discussing things I did enjoy.

Real life sucks enough at times, no need to take negativity into hobbies which are meant to be FUN escapes from real life!

Who cares, so he doesnt like Nolan or his movies. I know a guy that cant stand Tom Hanks and hasnt seen a single movie he's been in over the last 15 years, and he's allowed to feel that way. I dont get on his case about it.

I know a few people that think the new batman films are boring, too realistic. I think the LOOK boring, but I think the movies themselves are solid. Not everyone likes the same things. I took my girlfriend to see TDK and she thought it was awful, but LOVES the burton ones, and that didnt bother me at all, I dont like some movies she loves.

It's one thing to not like certain things.... I'm not debating that. But that guy is a person that isn't happy unless everyone around them are miserable. As one poster above said...life is too short to be so negative all the time.

Obviously everyone's entitled to their own opinions. But this guy is clearly an unreasonable hater and an imdb troll. Really, they're dime a dozen. Not worth the time. The constant misuse of "hack" as a catchall insult is very telling.

Yeah, it's not that he just doesn't like Nolan, it's that all he has is lists of negatives. I didn't see any lists of his favorite films etc.

I can't stand people who just go around focusing on the negative. Disliking things is fine. Putting all your energy into disliking things and being negative and trying to make everyone else miserable is not.

Films are a hobby. People should focus on enjoying it and not wallowing in negativity. It's fine to discuss why you don't like certain films. It's not fine to only or mostly do that IMO.

It looks like the guy just hates to hate to be honest. Did you see his list of worst directors in Hollywood? It's a whose who of talented filmmakers that people love.

I mean, I'll give him Uwe Boll, but J.J. Abrams? Chris Nolan? Del Toro? Kevin Smith? Really? Grow up...

Most like he's just a troll that makes lists like that to watch people get annoyed by them. So, mission accomplished for him/her I guess!

I don't see the need to pay attention to such a person - especially when they provide no context to their perspective. They are just filling the internet with letters that don't add any new ideas.

sadly, there's two sides to the coin.

yes, this guy seriously has wasted too much of his time hating on Nolan and countless others and obviously rated every film a 1/10 i'm sure, but there's also people out there who rated every film of certain director's 10/10, even if they haven't seen the film, or if it's not out yet (just look at amazon reviews as well of things the Star Wars saga on blu to see proof of ridiculous).

it's people like this guy that make me think nothing of reviews and ratings on that site. i hear a lot of people say things about "it has to be good because it's #15 on IMDb!" and i just laugh because there's no way to weed these types of people (supreme haters, supreme lovers) on any site. including our own.

______

*** i just want to say, it's one thing if you don't like Nolan's films (or anyone else's films), but then BACK UP YOUR STATEMENTS. obviously not in "facts" because you can't, but don't just make a list screaming about how you hate Nolan and rate all his films 1/10. explain yourself in a rational, logical manner so people don't just go when they see you have posted something.

but alas, this is the wild, anonymous internet and that rarely happens.

Even a broken clock is correct twice each day.

But yeah, his huge worst directors list is kind of a joke. If I hated that many directors, I would just rewatch the same old movies over and never bother with anything new.

I think that he should make a Best Directors list, if he has not already. I am curious to see who he does like. And if Uwe Boll does not show up on your Worst Directors list, then there is something wrong with you. At least he got that one right.

On the other hand, I liked his best directors list. I would have moved Orson Welles and John Ford up on the list -- and I'd notch Hitchcock higher in the top 10, but a pretty knowledgeable list over-all.
