Need help with controller.

I used my wireless controller last night perfectly. Today I go to use it and it's not working so I plug it in to charge and it works and charges so I unplug it and it still doesn't work it blinks and then dies. I tried changing the controller number but all it does is dies after it blinks a few times but works when plugged in but if I unplug it it just dies.

Any suggestions?

Let it charge a few minutes and then try again. My old Sixaxis does that all the time.

you can also try the reset button on the bottom on the controller.

I did both of those and nothing worked. I just had to press the reset button right? Nothing on the ps3?

just the controller. its a small hole next to the center screw hole.

how old is the controller? it might be the battery itself. that it might not be able to hold the charge anymore.

It came with my 80GB ps3 which I got when MGS4 came out so I'm assuming around June 2008.

OK that sucks. If I keep it plugged in it will always work right? Or will it die sooner or later? I don't want to buy a new one right now but am fine with keeping it plugged in as my ps3 isn't to far from where I sit.

If you are mechanically inclined you can replace the battery for a few bucks.
