Default Anyone get AMC Theatres Stubs rewards (formerly Movie Watchers Reward)

https://www.amcstubs.com/

Quote:
Collect memories.
Get rewards.

There's something about going to the movies. It smells like
popcorn, you're with your buddies and you might just see the next
best movie ever. AMC Stubs takes all of those little things you
love about going to the movies and adds these excellent benefits:

$10 AMC Stubs Reward for every $100 you spend
Free upgrades on concessions anyday, anytime
Online ticket purchase fees waived
Access to your online ticket stub collection

So at first I kinda refused to buy into it once they went to charging for membership but finally caved in when I was able to get for $6 and its actually much better. Also keep in mind, the card costs $12 unless you were a previous AMC movie watcher member in which I think you can get for $6 online with your old number. But that money is applied to the $100 you need for a reward. Again, if you go to the movies a lot, it’s definitely worth it.

Here’s what you need to know about the Stubs programs at AMC: if you live near an AMC theater you want to get the card. What it does is collect every dollar you spend (either on concessions or tickets) and when you’ve spent $100, you get $10 in rewards back. It’s basically like a 10% off card. In addition, you get free upgrades. So if you buy a small drink, with the card, they give you a medium. Same for popcorn.

Also, if you’re someone that likes buying tickets online, if you use a Stubs card, you don’t pay online ticketing fees at either MovieTickets.com or Fandango.

Obviously if you don’t live near an AMC theater this is all meaningless info, but if you go to one on a regular basis, this is a no brainer.

LeAnn had the Movie Watches reward until AMC changed their format just recently. Looks like you have to spend "more" money to get the deal. Besides we don't go as much as we used to, but I'm sure it will benefit someone.

I was a long time Movie Watchers member then I moved to a place which is near another movie theater company (Century). Didn't go to an AMC Theatre for a while after that. However, recently my family has been going to quite a bit of IMAX 3D shows (as opposed to the Real 3D shows at Century) so I decided to join the Stubs Reward program. With the crazy prices for both tickets and concessions, I'll get that membership fee back in no time.

Ya I just bought mine and I already have 40 bucks into from 2 tickets, 1 large drink, 1 bag of skittles and the membership price itself. I guess its cool they count the membership fee.

Also, if you buy tickets at fandango.com, the surcharge is waived for being a stubs member. Also, if you are a movie watcher member, you automatically get the stubs card (in the mail) and the $12 fee is waived for the 1st yr. I go to the movies every Sunday and it's so worth it to me.

There are no AMC theatres in Alabama. Oh well, it's no skin off my nose. I almost never go to movies anyway.

I think I was almost $100 at the very first visit, $50+ for IMAX 3D for 3 people, $30+ for food and the membership fee.

Ya with the old rewards you would only get credit for 2 tickets, now its unlimited. So thats a great new feature.

That's great for me because I almost watch two movies when I go (and once in a while, if there are plenty of good films at that time, I'll watch 3).

I signed up for this in March when I went to see Source Code.

I wasn't going to do it...but then they told me that I could let friends/family use the card too. That sold me on it.

I've already gotten my first $10 reward and am $32 towards my next one already

Switched over to it for the $6. Figured it would pay for itself with saving a $1 picking my seats out online and it is pretty easy to get up to $100 to get the $10 back.

I still cringe with embarrassment every time the Stubs commercial plays. That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. It always gets an audible groan from the audience.

I don't know about AMC in other areas, but compared to Muvico and Cobb here, AMCs are ****holes. They're a couple dollars more expensive, they don't offer student pricing except on Thursdays (not counting Thanksgiving, even though at the time, I don't know about now, they don't document this exclusion anywhere), and then they start charging for their loyalty program. I only go to AMC if I'm really desperate not to make the 20 mile drive to Muvico.

Wow guys this thing is amazing, I've already collected my 4th $10 reward and this thing only rolled out in what May or June. I bought a lot of those $4 and $5 fandango promotion tickets See 8 movies for $4 a piece, that's $32, then get another $10 back on top of that
