Atelier Meruru: The Alchemist of Arland 3 (PS3, Gust): 9, 9, 8, 9 - (35/40)

Famitsu gives Atelier Meruru a 35 out of 40, which is not a bad score. In fact it's a great score and Gust should be proud. They made a great game and it shows. I do look forward to playing this final game in this trilogy and hopefully it does come out here in the States after Atelier Totori is released in the States.

If I remember right, that's like 5 points higher than what Rorona got.

Apparently, Atelier Totori actually got the same score as Atelier Rorona.

Atelier Meruru Coming to America and Europe Spring 2012

Meruru, the apprentice of Totori from Atelier Totori, is the star this time around. Atelier Meruru takes place in the country of Arls.

One of the new features of Atelier Meruru is a world building system, which we mentioned in our coverage of the Japanese version of the game. The screenshots above depict how you can erect a fortress over a piece of land. The screen below is a view of how you'll construct new buildings, using points built up by completing quests.

In addition to Meruru, both Totori and Rorona make appearances in the game, too. Rorona's a little girl now, but you don't get to find out why until you play the game (unless you're OK with spoilers).

I was surprised that it's coming in Spring instead of the usual Fall release, but yea I am pretty excited for this. I can't wait to play it!
