Laurence of Arabia
Fritz Lang's The Tiger of Eschnapur/The Tomb of Love
Gwendoline
Legend of Wisely
Mummy 1 and 2
Armour of God 2
Romancing the Stone/Jewel of the Nile
The Myth
King Solomon's Mines/Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold
Tomb Raider 1 and 2
Magnificent Warriors

Can anyone think of any more?

I would throw National Treasure 1 and 2 in that list and even to some extent Angels & Demons/DaVinci Code..only because of the history and adventure more so than the action

Speilberg said he was influenced from David Lean. Watch the desert scenes and listen to the score - straight outa Indiana Jones. Well, Laurence of Arabia certainlu feels like a Speilberg film....

Well I disagree with that one but even if I did see a resemblance it would be more like Indiana Jones sure has a Lawrence of Arabia feel too it! Especially considering that it came out almost 20 years before Raiders.....

Now the rest of your analogy has some merit....

Just watched this again last night and I was thinking the same thing as I watched it.

The Mummy movies also have an Indiana Jones type feel to them.
