They (and other studios) have been very inconsistent with Blu-ray on TV releases. That's really the only reason why people are so outwardly praising Sony for continuing this. There was a lot of worry for a while because there were pre-orders and release dates set for the DVD version everywhere, but no pre-orders or dates set for a Blu-ray release.

On a different note, I found season 2 on Blu-ray at a DVD Exchange store recently. It was in mint condition, and got it for $14.99. After getting season 1 from Amazon for $13.99 during the holidays, I'm quite pleased with my pick-up.

i can confirm that, like the Season 1 and 2 blu-rays, Season 3 is Region Locked A

Yeah, i'm sure the price will drop to the teens by the holiday season, but I broke down and bought it mostly because the new season is starting in a couple months and I want to get caught up. I waited for the price drop last year for seasons one and two, which I was glad. I'm sure i'll be annoyed when I see the drop for season 3...after paying $24 for it.

Look at the positive side, getting this for $24 on release day is a good deal considering that season 1 was $30 when it came it out and was 6 episodes shorter.

$25 is a great price for this! These episodes are some of the best hours of television ever. There is a reason why Cranston won Best Actor for every season so far!

I bought Season 1 & 2 on DVD last year (before I had a BD player) and I haven't even watched them yet...so I just decided to sell them back to Amazon for around $20 total so I'm hoping they will have some sort of sale on Season 1 & 2 on BD the release of Season 3 either on Amazon, or in some store. I wanna re-watch the whole series before season 4 starts.

How is the video quality? Seems like with each season so far, the quality increased. Hopefully this one is even better than the season 2 quality (and especially season 1!!! )

Can't wait for this. The second season is my favorite TV-on-Blu release thus far. Sensibly priced, the video is immaculate (shot on film with amazing cinematography, the transfer was great), way more special features than most TV-on-Blu sets, and it even came with a few pack-in extras (Booklet, bumper sticker thingy). Looks like Season 3 comes with a booklet or something, as well. The features also seem to be even more numerous that the second season. This show raises the bar both on television, and on Blu-ray.

Even though I thought the third season was the weakest, it still goes from "Oh my God I can't believe how awesome this is!" to "Damn, that's good television!".

I am also pumped to see that the episodes are uncensored. Probably my one pet peeve with Season 2 was that the F-bomb in the restaurant wasn't restored.
