Lightbulb When are we going to get Home Alone (1 & 2) ?

Ok, Home Alone is the third highest grossing film of all time, and I haven't even heard a peep on when it will be released. I have an HD-DVD player, but as soon as this movie (or Pirates of the Car.) I plan on buying a PS3 for due to the blue-ray player (maybe I'll buy it earlier).

So I was just curious if anyone knows when Home Alone will be coming out on Blue-Ray?

No, it WAS the third highest at shortly after it was released. It is no where near that now.

It's not even in the top fifty...

And?

That doesn't change the fact that it was one of Fox's most successful movies.

WAS being the key word. There are many Fox films that have made more than Home Alone since it's release.

Well, I'd still like to know if there's anyone who has heard anything about the movies.

why in the world would u want home alone on hd dvd or blu-ray. i'm 17 and i've only seen it about 5 billion times on bhs through my lifetime. i've always enjoyed both number 1 and number 2 but i dont think anybody cares if it comes out or not and i dont know why anybody would want to buy it for 30 $ and watch it AGAIN.

The films do not represent the genre of your typical early adopter. They will be out (including every other film) eventually.

The DVDs I have of the movie are rather poor quality, and look more like some 400mb compressed Divx movie than a DVD. Maybe I just picked the wrong DVD release, but this movie along with "It's a Wonderful Life" are always a "must have," oh, and Godzilla (1998) as well.

I hope that they wait to release these types of films. I would like to buy them as would others, but I'm sure not too many people would want to pay $34.99 for Home Alone in HD. When BDs are $15-$25, I would have no problem picking up movies of this nature.

Yeah, same here. If you add how many times I have seen the 1st and 2nd one, then, well, I have probably seen them 50+ times.

when i was in london last, i went to the symphony at the royal albert with the london symphony playing. it just so happens, they were doing a john williams tribute at the time. for lovers of music and sound, everyone pretty much knows that this is the worlds best symphony in the best venue (well, now the disney place has opened in l.a., so now #2). when there, i literally had softball sized goose bumps on my skin. listening to them play things like jurassic park, superman and star wars (especially imperial march!) was simply astounding. to date and while still short, has been one of the best experiences of my life. even during the performance, the conductor gave us a little info that playing all of john williams pieces has been one of the most challenging experiences ever and they were simply astounded at the complexity of his music.
