Panasonic BD30k planet earth ??

Planet Earth would work part of the time with firmware version 1.1 on the player but will no longer play on my Panasonic BD30 now that I have installed the firmware version 1.3 onto the player. My wife had the movie Hairspray that also played before the new firmware update. Panasonic tech support told me that if I installed v1.3 everything would work and it doesn't.

Anyone else having this problem?

Any Solutions.... PLEASE?

Does anything play now? Maybe the upgrade reset the output options; make sure that everything in the set-up is correct for your TV/receiver.

I have the Panasonic BD-30 (version 1.3) and I tried all the titles that you mentioned. I had no problems with any of the movies. I think you have a bad BD-30 and I recommend that you swap it out at the place where you purchased it.

You could also re-download the firmware and try to flash it again.

BTW, Hairsplay is very colorful, eh?

I just updated mine to 1.3, and my Planet Earth plays just fine. I don't have Hairspray yet. I'd try the update again.

Your firmware may have become corrupted as a result of the update.
The only way to undo it, is to have the unit serviced or exchange it at the retailer your purchased from. Try re-applying it again and see what happens. If still bad.... then as I said.

After a long 2 hour discussion with panasonic today they agreed that my unit was bad. I decided to send it back to where my wife bought it and get a new one. It was from 6ave electronics and they had no problem with exchanging it.
