USA Best Blu-rays with good Video and Audio?

I use to have a whole bunch of blu-rays. At least around 100 but I sold them for some bills. Not doing that again. Whatever I buy I am keeping but I have to re buy a lot of titles I use to have. I now have 0 and am considering buying my first title, again. My first title the first time around was Sleeping Beauty but does anyone recommend a great title I can start off again and be satified with. Something that will keep me occupied till I get start building again. Any recommendations on the title with great video and sound?

here is the thing with BD's with great PQ & AQ a lot of them are "not good" films.

For example
Crank
Crank 2
Drive Angry 2D version
Faster

all of these films look great, BUT I would not own them if you gave them to me (except maybe for faster)

as for good films:
I think Taxi Driver is the best release of 2011. After I watch True Grit sometime this week I might find #2.

Most obvious choice off the top of my head is Avatar. Not my favorite movie of all-time by any stretch, but the A/V presentation is the best on Blu-ray yet.

Band of Brothers, one of the best Blu-Rays available and nearly 12 hours of air time.

Default Some Animes?

Other guests have suggested great acting movie titles, how about some animes? And these are good starters too if readers are not into anime yet.

The following suggested to buy from UK e.g. amazon.co.uk

1. Ghost in the Shell 2 Innocence (the stunning Chinese parade....)
2. Afro-Samurai and Afro-Samurai 2 Resurrection
(as far as I know, they are region-free, at least North American PS3 can play)

The following you can buy from amazon.com:
3. Ghost in the Shell
4. Matrix 1 (+ 2 + 3, but some don't like the story of 2 & 3), Animatrix
5. Final Fantasy: Advent Children Extended Cut
6. Vexille

Anything from Pixar, Avatar, Star Trek (2009), and Live Free or Die Hard are all winners.

There are so..o.. many good movies out there, that the list would be to..o.. long. But, if I had to pick one from relatively recent memory, it would have to be Avatar (incl. the Blu-ray 3D version)
