What to purchase - Blu-ray Forum

so college is pretty much done for me and summer is here but i'll be getting an operation in the following 2 weeks, its nothing serious but it requires some recovery time (of course) so i've decided to stock up on some films to watch during this time.I'm setting myself a budget of £60 as I purchased Taxi Driver and The Kubrick collection just renctly and don't wanna spend too much. I think Apocalypse Now is the essential but I'd rather you guys make the decision. what should i go for?

The Bridge on the River Kwai - 12.85
127 Hours - 17.85
The Fighter - 14.85
True Grit - 15.97
Apocalypse Now - 17.85
Dirty Harry - 5.99
Clint Eastwood: Directors Collection - 17.99
Dr. strangelove - 6.79
Spartacus - 7.95
Amadeus - 6.99

note that 127 Hours is the only film i've actually seen out of these.

Hm. I'd go with Spartacus, 127 Hours, True Grit and Amadeus.

The other's are excellent choices but not one's that I would go with.

On a sidenote: You should go for the BDs that'll give you the best bang for your dollar.

I'd say Apocalypse now as well but if you want to pass the time I'd buy a few TV boxsets. Say Band of Brothers, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Fringe etc.

That's a fair point actually, both seasons of The Sarah Connor Chronicles can be had for about £20.

You can order Bridge On the River Kwai and Apocalypse Now from Amazon US if you don't care for the extras that much on Apocalypse Now.

Apocalypse Now and Kwai are no brainers. A TV series is the way to roll to kill time though.
