USA Should I consider buying a Blu-Ray/HD Player?

There are a couple players on Ebay that are selling a combo that use both blu-ray and HD. Wondering if it would be a good idea to get that or stick with finding a good blu-ray player?

There aren't too many films anymore that were available on HDDVD but not Blu-ray. I can't see why anyone would buy one.

Don't bother. You'll get an outdated Blu-ray player that can play a dead format.

unless you got some giveaway deal on a bunch of HD-DVD's, there would be no reason to do this... and even then... once the player eventually "dies" you most likely will not be able to find another one...
