The vicious stabbing and disembowelment of Phyllis Stone in Craven's The Last House on the Left is probably my favourite death scene in a film. There are some powerful shots and the grainy visuals capture the grit and brutality of the murder well. I know Hess' music for the film is often criticised, but I thought the track for this particular scene was great.
