United Kingdom Thor -- September 19th, 2011

No pre-order yet, but Amazon has this down for September 19th and mock-up art has appeared on Play.com for both 2D Triple and 3D Super Play editions.

Thor Triple Play

Thor 3D Super Play

If you can see HMV's teeny-tiny images, they have different mock-up art for the 3D Super Play.

Enjoyed this film, didn't feel it used all the potential it could've done, but it's still good and maybe I'll like it more on a second viewing. And it's out four days before my birthday, so I'll probably ask for it as a gift.

The 3D was pretty much wasted. But according to HMV the 3D set is the same price as the 2D set so if it stays like that then I'll pick it up - if it's not going to cost more to get that extra option then I might as well, just in case.

BBFC have passed today a Directors commentary and extras (featurettes, deleted scenes and trailers) for this, also stating a September 19th release.

Looking forward to this. Enjoyed the film, and what with it being a Paramount release should mean that the BD in general should be an excellent release.

Couple of decent sounding extras on that link.

Steel art is up and it's pretty sexy, however I want the Super Play. Same with Pirates.

I hope the blue banner is not printed in the steelbook, but it looks like I might be.

I'll be getting it either way though.

I think it might be like the True Grit one (removable J-card)

Few guys in the Steelbook thread for this think the same.

Heres hoping anyway.

I've also pre-ordered the steelbook. I wonder if this and True Grit means that Paramount is now doing regular HMV exclusive steelbooks for their films as well as Sony. If that's true then I wouldn't be surprised to see Transformers 3 get an HMV steel.

I'm all over that steel book provided the triple play banner isn't actually on the tin. Which i don't think it will be.

Currently unsure of which version id prefer to get the 3D superplay or the triple play Steelbook.

Love steelbooks what dont like to miss out on 3D versions.

Sounds to me only movies that have a good 3D image are the ones that are shot with a 3D camera not the ones converted later.
