Default Is the Mission Impossible collection worth buying?

I love the first one, especially where he puts the explosive gum on the window and escapes. However, now every movie of his I watch is tainted because of his weird Scientology-related stuff.

But anyway, is it worth buying? I think the first was my favorite and the third one looked great and had a lot of action, but I didn't enjoy it as much. I can't even remember the second one, so it may be the first time I have seen it.

If you like 1 and 3, then I'd say go for it. Personally, I love the 3rd and completely detest the first 2.

Check out the review over at High-Def Digest.

I can tell you that the first 2 could be better, but they do look better than they did on the DVD format.

I went for it based on the reviews (Blu-ray) of MI-III. The reason I purchased all three is because of the deal at Amazon. I believe I paid about $18 each as a package deal (sale price plus an additional 10% off and no tax and free shipping). That's was good deal with respect to current prices these days.

I have also purchased the whole collector's set (I'm not sure if they are selling them individually yet), definitely worth it to have all 3. PQ is better on the first 2 movies compared to DVD, and the 3rd movie rocks on HD.

Yes it is worth buying in High Definition! So just get Ulimate Collection Mission Impossible on Blu-ray if you are for Blu-ray only.

MI-3 was CAD$32.99 at BB, while the box set was CAD$69.99 (~US$58). I actually purchased the box set several weeks BEFORE I got the PS/3 . It was like getting a movie for free.

I like 1 and 3 a lot. Two is OK, but Thandie is easy to watch.

Default mission impossible

has anyone here purchased the MI trillogy, if so is it worth it. I was looking on this site for the audio capabilities of the three movies and noticed that it was only 5.1 dolby digital, is this so??

Bump, after 25 minutes?

Yeah, i had it, was crap to be truthful. The PQ wasn't up to much on III - i'd hate to see the normal dvd. Sound was ok though, cant recall spec though.

I have the complete missions set and pretty much enjoyed it. The audio is just DD 5.1 however.

It's a Paramount title... that should explain everything.

I had a gift card to BB and I bought the trilogy and it's okay.

But seriously, I haven't been too impressed with Paramount HD.
