The HD-DVD guys are up in arms against it because the unit has better accessability for Blu-Ray. That's because it was originally supposed to be BD. So, because of the inability to access HD-DVD menu systems the way a real HD-DVD unit would, it may not see the light of day. Although, I heard some reports saying it was on a few shelves right after CES. Whether it's been pulled since that, I don't know.

We distribute LG commercial panels here in Toronto and I just got off the phone with the LG head office here. Eddie Park told me that here in Canada, that combo unit will be on FutureShop shelves as of March 1/07 for 1500.00 Canadian. They have a very limited number right now. If I didn't already have a PS3, I'd buy one. I want King Kong in HD damn it!

I think there's some confusion. The GGW-H10N is the PC Blu-ray recorder that also reads HD DVD. The BH100 is the consumer electronics Blu-ray/HD DVD player. Official word on the GGW-H10N is still for sometime in Q1.
