Default Blu-Ray on PSP?

Didn't see this posted so:

http://arstechnica.com/journals/thum...ovie-transfers

Short on details, doesn't really clarify whether it would downscale BDs and create a small file, or allow playback from a second lo rez copy on the BD itself. Hopefully the former, or it's a useless feature for every BD purchased without it.

There are already programs that will make UMD format versions of DVDs. This is only an example of "managed copy" technology that will allow people to watch movies they have on Blu-ray on a different format. Of course, it will be downconverted to whatever the PSP resolution is.

This is great for me because I like watching movies on my PSP when I'm traveling and buying UMD's is a waste of money. Copying movies that I own on Blu-Ray for this occasional use makes alot of sense to me especially if it's an easy process.

Your the target market...I would expect Disney to provide iPod versions at some point etc..just a ready to go encode that copies/syncs to either device. Should be pretty simple.
