Hi I keep seeing the word Troll bandished about this site is this an American thing that I just don't get

troll is not an american thing, its more of an internet thing. if you havn't figure it out a troll is somebody who is opposed to a product and then comes in to forums about the product simply to bash it.

A troll is somebody who comes into an internet forum and purposely says things to upset everyone or to confuse ppl.

A very blunt example is somebody who just opens an account and his 5th post is "Blu-ray Sux."


Usually they are more subtle than that. Sometimes they are HD DVD fanboys but either way, whether they believe what they wrote or not, they will say it just to get an uproar

They take pride in that their one "joke" post, received over 100 responses and managed to anger, aggravate, or annoy well over 100 people.
