FYE is generally considered one of the highest prices stores for movies and pretty much anything else. Congrats though on your purchase.

They are high priced, but I found a used copy of Sunshine for $24.99 early last week, a good week before it was released.

My FYE just closed down.

Shop there while you can. (If they have deals that is.)

some of the prices were very high (ex. fox titles being 39.99) but there are a few gems if you go in and look every once in a while. For some reason ice age was only 19.99 as well I just didnt think I should have spent more money

I found Aeon Flux used ( and still sealed!) at a local gamestop recently for 9.99. They did have it labeled as the SD version though, but hey, after the 10% discount I paid 9.53 after tax, not bad!

Thats an awesome deal. I went to two gamestops yesterday (there's 2 in the same mall here ) And all their BD prices were ridiculous. A USED copy of mission impossible was $34.99 but they did have spiderman 3 and shoot em up for $17.99 used. Unfortunately I have both of those movies. I was thinking about checking some local pawn shops sometime soon, theres opportunity for good stuff there. Anyone have any luck at pawn shops?

I'd pay the full $30 for it just because it OOP and its a decent movie. haven't watched it yet but it seems like it'll look great. But after paramounts BD rendition of italian job. ohh the grain!! almost as bad as oceans 13

For some reason, everytime I go to my local mall, I end up stopping by FYE. After about 1 minute of browsing, I'm like "this place sucks" and "why do I keep coming in here". I guess it is because it is the only music/movies store in that mall.

Congrats on your lucky finds.

Go online to FYE.com and Sunshine is $27.99 plus there's a $7 refund by mail. $20.99 plus shipping isn't bad. It was $29.99 in the store just now. They don't price match with their online store.

FYE can be good if you dont mind mail in rebates. I always forget to send them in, so I dont like the prices. But, if you are pretty good at sending them in, you can get some good deals if you purchase during the week of release.

You found a used copy of a movie a week before its release date?

FYE is a total rip off, they had High School Musical 2 for 34.99 and on Amazon its 19.99.

I got a great deal on Underworld there, like $15 and this was after having a hard time finding it.

I think I ordered about 8 or 9 Blu-rays from FYEs at a price (when you included the $7 rebates) that could NOT be beat. Of course, by the time the December "drop dead" date for mailing rebate forms in had passed I had not sent in a single rebate request. It's because of folks like you and I that retailers love rebate promotions. Those were my first and last rebate related buys.

Our local FYE store has some really good bargains, but I can tell you that Fry's has the best everyday prices on blu. Always cheaper that BB or CC.

LOL, yeah. I typically purchase from amazon now or a local store that actually has the same prices as amazon.

I would take those copies of the Italian Job back if I were you. At any price that BD version is no steal.
