Default Questions About Transformer movies

I was too old for the toys and TV show when Transformers came out, so all I know about them is from the movies. However, having watched all three films I'm still left with questions regarding the giant robots...

1. They mentioned they were a race, but how could they be when they aren't organic? I mean, they're robots, after all! I assume they are made of aluminum and steel, which have to be processed from minerals. (Weren't there dying baby Decepticons in part two? You know, in that scene where we see the home planet of the robots, and in a cocoon-like structure are what look like baby robots. Go figure.)

2. Which leads to the second question, If they are not a race then who built these giant war-like robots?

3. Why are all the robots "male"? They all have male voices and physiques. (Of course, being robots they should be sexless. Just ask Robby the Robot about that.) Why are there no female robots? (Well, except for that one robot disguised as a real human woman in part 2. But was she a female robot, or only made to look like a female to trick Sam?) Maybe on their home planet there are vacuum cleaners and washing machines that transform into the housewives of Optimus Prime and others? And when they arrive home the housewives gripe that they cook and clean all day and this is the thanks they get? (Sorry for the overt sexism, folks.)

If they truly are a "race" as stated in the movie, then how do they reproduce? (I'm getting kind of ill just thinking about that last one.)

Maybe someone else can answer your questions. I grew up with the toys, and cartoons, but don't know a whole lot of details of what you're asking. However, you are forgetting Arcee, from ROTF. She was a motorcycle, and there were 3.

Ok, this is confusing, but I will try to explain it.

They are robots, but they build each other with new parts or parts from themselves(making children). They are given intelligence by vector-sigma which is a huge megacomputer basically. It gives them life or a "spark".

As to girl robots, yes there are there was one very famous one called R.C. I believe it might have been Arcee or something. Also, in beast wars(a spin off of transformers) they had many female characters. In beast wars they had 2 people (girl and boy) who were in love and boy died or something. There sparks still found each other somehow, I don't remember how exactly, but it gets weird.

If you want a good show to watch about transformers try beast wars and later was beast machines,(good luck finding them they are out of print). Also, transformers the series is on dvd now too.

Wow, I have no memory of that, and I saw the second sequel recently, too.

first, your in an a/v forum called Blu-Ray, so your never too old for toys or TV shows either then or now; young or old we all love our toys and TV shows & movies!

1. They mentioned they were a race, but how could they be when they aren't organic? I mean, they're robots, after all! I assume they are made of aluminum and steel, which have to be processed from minerals. (Weren't there dying baby Decepticons in part two? mind and imagination opening time; who is to say that in some other part of the universe robots exist with the ability to reproduce/build (create) other robots like themselves. here on Earth, we build people; takes 9 months!

2. Which leads to the second question, If they are not a race then who built these giant war-like robots?

who built us humans?

3. Why are all the robots "male"? They all have male voices and physiques. (Of course, being robots they should be sexless. Just ask Robby the Robot about that.) Why are there no female robots? (Well, except for that one robot disguised as a real human woman in part 2. But was she a female robot, or only made to look like a female to trick Sam?) in "transformers: the movie" (animated) there was a female lead and it was implied that she was not the only female robot for either autobot or decepticon.

If they truly are a "race" as stated in the movie, then how do they reproduce? (I'm getting kind of ill just thinking about that last one.)

not gonna touch that last remark

hope this helped. it's based on comics and anime don't take it too seriously; just try and enjoy it for what it is!

I'm not sure there are actual answers to the questions you are asking but folks are sure gonna have fun with your questions! try not to take them too seriously or get angry; it's just fun!

Use the Force Luke.....

Lol! You're being a scrooge because you're too realistic. In movies, anything can happen. If I were a movie character, I can build a toy and it would be able to reproduce in their own manner. In Transformers, someone or something built the first model. It was probably Skynet (who knows?). You know what I'm saying?

Here is another tidbit for ya J.J. In the first Transformers film: Maggie (Rachael Taylor) who is the analyst that discovers the hack on Air Force One, sugests to Pentagon officials, that the signal may be DNA-based, and coming from a living organism.

find a torrent for all the Marvel Transformers comics from the 80's/90's and you will see why some of us hate the Bayformer flicks with a fiery passion. Screw the cartoon, the comics were where it was at.

I think Transformer robot sex goes something like this: Participants play Barry White over their car or truck radios. Then the boy robot awkwardly fumbles to remove the girl robot's car bra (assuming she's an auto), which excites the girl robot, causing her to lube herself in anticipation. During actual sex the sounds of revving engines can be heard. Both participants overheat, and the boy's engine increases in revolutions per minute, until he expels a quart of viscous oil all over the girl robot, hopefully not prematurely. (They call the latter in the business the "money shot.") Nine months later the girl robot has too much junk in her trunk.

As for how the Transformers were created, some Autobots and Decepticons firmly believe in robot creationism, despite a lack of proof. (Think of C3PO and the Robotrix from Metropolis frolicking in the Garden of Eden, and you get the idea.) Some worship Joseph F. Engelberger as their heavenly Father of robotics, while others pray to Nikola Tesla. Religious intolerance has caused a great strife amongst the two races of robots, leading to holy wars, inquisitions, and pogroms. Others believe the robots evolved over time from the lowly microchip.

You don't remember because they were completely useless. Also, don't forget the sleazy blonde Pretender college chick in TF2.
