psp batteries - Blu-ray Forum

Got a battery from ebay but like most things ebay its fake, will fake battery hurt my psp in any way? I know it wont hold the charge as long. It wasnt too expensive so im not worried about the money, just dont wanna blow up my psp lol.

LOL - FAKE batteries certainly won't work but if it is a third party battery then there is nothing wrong with that - it doesn't matter what brand of batteries you use - just make sure the battery pack has the same voltage and is actually rechargeable

It looks like a sony battery and everything but reportedly online they said its like some chinese manufactured. Its just a third party battery with probably fake sony logo lol.

i bought a non-sony battery once, while I was charging it, it got hot and fat... so I stopped charging... and it's soo fat that it didn't fit in my PSP anymore...
