As much as I love Brian May's work, Queen in general way much more that the Stones, Richards great riffs are some of the most recognisable in rock history. His raw style wins over May's finesse in this one.

I feel the same way as you in regards to Richards but I actually like the Stones a bit better than Queen. Queen has some memorable songs for sure but they have also produced a lot of stuff that I simply detest. The Stones have their share of forgettable stuff too but overall I just think their consistency AND their longevity win out over Queen.

As technical player May is way out there compared to Keith but the Stones are a huge reference in rock&roll but queen also was musically a great reference and for me Freddie was the one and greatest male singer of all times , but since i`m only voting for Hendrix i leave this out for you guys

I voted for Brian on this one.
Speaking of consistency, both Queen and RS are far from being so consistent as the Beatles for example. In fact, I think the number of both bands' good songs is not so different.
But although I like Stones, I've always felt that they are a bit overrated.
On the other hand, Queen are underrated in the US compared to the rest of the world - in fact, Queen is probably the most successful band after the Beatles in many countries.
And apart from the above, I just like Queen more than Stones. So, I voted for Brian but I don't think he will win.

I'm impressed the forum is going with Richards here, but to me the choice is fairly obvious.

Voted for Keith! I honestly don't believe The Stones would have been able to remain as successful as they are without the "sound" of Keith Richards. Not sure if I could say the same for Brian May.

Damn, I was too late on this one. I would have voted for Brian May because he is taller and looks cleaner.
