it's not even been a year since the vanilla released...
I'm selling my game and won't even think about picking this version or other forthcoming versions (probably an arcade edition of some sort) until they are through with the game.

I held off on the original because they pulled this crap with me on Street Fighter IV. Also because no Cyclops. If this one has Cyclops, it's a definite buy.

Unless this was someone's first foray into the world of video games, no seasoned gamer should be surprised at this announcement. None.

Anyone who has picked up a Street Fighter or Resident Evil game in the past knows that each of these will be reissued at a later date with additional content, and there are no assurances that the second iteration of a game on that platform will be the final installment either. I learned my lesson from the PSX days, which is why I never buy the first iteration of a SF or RE title today.

I got my copy of Marvel VS Capcom 3 for free, so I can't complain. Hopefully they make the extra characters available via DLC.

I guess I was "surprised" because when it came to the Versus series, there was never a super/ultimate/remix edition. Sure, Street Fighter went through all the crap, but the versus series were never repackaged.

Sure, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter was practically Xmen vs Street Fighter, but there were never the Hyper/Turbo editions--even while Street Fighter 2 and 3 were going through all their editions.

I was too optimistic I suppose in believing that Capcom would act consistently, and moreover, it hasn't even been a year!! Basically, they turned the consumer into their beta (alpha?) testers.. T_T
and are releasing a game that has things like "spectator" mode which were called for from the beginning and using better code for the online game play (read: code that they had implemented in earlier games but for some reason chose not to use in MvC3)..

Yeah, I was happy to see that as well. I like seeing him so prominently on the cover art too. It's like he's giving the viewer the penance stare.

That is an odd list. While I like seeing Vergil on the list (really wanted him in the game), the Marvel roster is weak. (Capcom side isn't bad with the exception of frakkin Mega Man yeat again ). I like Iron Fist and Dr Strange (and am really excited about Hawkeye), but Nova and Rocket Racoon!?

Not sure if this is truly the final roster.....

Nice to see Nova in the limelight, but as a longtime comic reader, I was (and still am) unfamiliar with Rocket Raccoon. Talk about digging into the archives; it may not get more obscure than RR.

Sweet!!! Nova and Rocket Raccoon! Bout time the Guardians of the Galaxy got their dues. Well continually speaking the original team anyway. And Nova, hell yeah Nova prime baby. Doctor Strange is awesome too. I can do without Ironfist though.
