I didn't see this one in theaters due to the very split reviews. I'll just rent this on Netflix to see what I think.

How does this one stand up to the rest of the comedies that were released this past year?

This will be a blind buy for me never got around to seeing it at the local theater. It looked pretty funny an dI like Cameron Diaz so it should be a safe blind buy.

I would recommend renting it first. its not that good of a movie. the movie bad santa is a better film of that type and alot funnier.

This was just released in theaters a few weeks ago and the Blu-ray is already up for pre-order? This must be a real stinker!

one is probably single disc blu. the other is prob a combo pak

Yeah, the cheaper one is usually just a single Blu-ray, while the more expensive one will include the Blu-ray + DVD and/or digital copy. Also, sometimes the single disc will be the theatrical version, while the combo pack will include an unrated and/or director's cut.

For those complaining about the thread remember this is the forum for Blu ray releases. Yes it says pre-order up in the title as of now but it will be a general catchall for discussion on the disc before and once it is released. I personally like the fact that someone took the time to make this thread or I would have missed the pre-order until after my prime trial ran out.

You're absolutely right! This forum should be restricted to only 100 threads discussing AFI's top 100 movies, or in the case of amending the list to include new films, movies with a 95% approval vote from the members.


I like films like this but I don't like Cameron Diaz at all. I'll probably skip it.

Didn't like this one at all. It was in mean spirit and Diaz's character was too unlikeable to feel sympathy for, thus the film didn't work.
