Ordering from Amazon.de - Blu-ray Forum

apologies if this has been asked before but am looking at ordering a few steelbooks from Germany to UK and am wondering what is the best way of doing this to avoid custom charges.

Also anyone know what the delivery charge is to the UK.

There are no customs charges since Germany is in the EU

There is however, quite a hefty sales tax though.

tell me if i'm wrong but it is cost of the blu ray + 20Euro delivery + 20%vat ?

Is the 20 euro for the total of your order or per item?

Prices already include VAT and there are definetely no customs charges. I just put 10 steelbooks in my basket and postage was only EUR 7.20, so basically you pay the price it states on the website, plus a flat rate on postage I think.

I tried to order some movies from amazon.de yesterday and when I went to check out a couple of the movies had a statement that read, "item cannot be delivered to selected address". Anyone ever had this before or know why that message would have popped up? I've never had amazon.de not ship me one of the movies that I wanted to purchase. Quite strange.

The only time I have had that happen and when the item is sold by someone else and not amazon.

Yes it means it doesn't ship from Amazon. I had Public Enemies and Kick-Ass in my cart and received the same message. After translating the product page it said "Sales by BAT-media GbR and sold by Amazon.de. For further information please click on the vendor name." Doesn't quite make sense but I assume the "sales by" means that's who ships it.

Well that's just annoying! Why does amazon.de state that it is "in stock"? Here's another one for you... I tried to preorder the Hanna steelbook from amazon.co.uk and I got the same message that they wouldn't ship to the selected address. I think that the entire amazon enterprise is against me! Anyway, I preordered from hmv. Whatever!

Actually if you go to the dedicated thread for the Hanna steelbook, you'll see a lot of people have had issues trying to pre-order it from Amazon.
