Default Most Prophetic Insider / Commentator Award

Firstly, can I say that this is JUST A BIT OF FUN!

The idea of this poll is for people to vote for who they think has been the best format war "insider". Insiders don't have to come from this forum, but should be high profile commentators or industry insiders on the format war in one respect or another.

I'd encourage people to primarily consider 2 things....

1) The accuracy of predictions
2) The length of fore-knoweldge of specific events.

These should be fairly specific events. "X" just predicting that "Blu-Ray would win" 18 months ago does not count for example as that is just general prediction that the majority of people made in the first place.

My poll includes only the insiders and commentators that I can think of. Mods feel free to add others if necessary!

P.S. The poll options are in Alphabetical order. No preference is intended.

LOL,

If you're gonna include rdjam, then how about Lee Stewart?

(Actually there is a guy called 'SuperXP' on highdefforums who is arguably even more ridiculous than the other two. He just never garnered any following because the HD-DVD peanut gallery were already following Lee Stewart.)

In all seriousness, I should have included Robert Enderle for completeness, though I doubt anyone would have voted for him personally.

Now we should also have an award similar to the Razzies. That would be fun! And it finally would be a category Amir could excel in!

I know this was for run, and here are a couple of comments, also made half-seriously:
- Amir's name should not be unjustly glorified by being put next to the honorable insiders of this forum. Down with Amir!!!!!
- In my opinion, insiders by definition could not afford to be too prophetic, but they tried to be as accurate as they could while trying not to violate any NDAs etc. However, most of the forum members were indeed prophetic, after all we all put our trust in Blu-ray quite a while ago (see my sig )
- Therefore, i would probably run a poll for the most enigmatic insider, the one that showed more leadership, passion and style here over the past year. And the choice is not the easy one to make - our insiders are so good I have really trouble singling out one. But here is goes - I vote for Paidgeek. You Sir were my support line and a beacon in this dreaded format war. Kudos to all insiders!

All of the Blu-ray Insiders are excellent and I enjoy everything they write. However, if I had to pick one as the most "Prophetic" it's got to be that coyote lover. No offense to the other insiders....

I think all of them deserve a place in history. Some because they information was so ludicrous and some because they information was dead on.

Then you have our version of Zodiac who loves his cryptic messages.

That's one movie I can't wait to see on blu.

I put up a poll on this yesterday in off topic. The mods must not have liked it so it is in HD DVD city, where all bad ideas go to die.
