Sony HT-DDW900 Home Theater yah or nay?

I searched the forum history and only got 2 hits, not really any opinions listed if this would be good for a 43" plasma TV. I would be hooking up a PS3 and vcr/dvd combo unit. Yes I still have VHS tapes. Yes I am cheap. Will this sound good for a cheapskate like myself or will it really sound cheap and poppy/scatchy?

I also want to buy this one. I think it's almost the only one that comes with speakers and has Optical Inputs. And the price is pretty good.

Anyway, anyone have it and have any comments/reviews ?

its ok...i mean....for what you are paying for its alright....i changed out all the speakers though which may have had an impact on the sound quality...the reason i dont like it is b/c it only does hdmi pass through....and its REALLY stupid b/c then if you want to do optical audio there is only one input (so take for example, if HDMI is passed through VIDEO2...the optical cable is then VIDEO2 as well...but then if you plug another hdmi cable to the system the sound goes right to the tv instead of through the system b/c it is being sent through DVD and the optical port is only for VIDEO1)...hope that makes sense....i mean for one hdmi it is ok but for multiple it sucks....i will be looking to upgrade soon when i start to make some more cash....

I just bought this unit and like I correctly read on sonystyle and other website this unit have 2 optical inputs and 1 coaxial digital input. Sure it's not the best unit but for the price I'd say it's pretty good.
