Australia Grindhouse With DTS-HD MA!

Finally an option for those unwilling to go the German route.

I'm liking the cover. Queer Steel maybe?

Original discs already have TrueHD, so it's already lossless?

Yes, but that's not the whole Grindhouse experience with different cuts and original trailers incuded.

I just hope its not in some low budget cardboard box like Pulp Fiction. Standard amaray with slipcover would be nice.

Here is a pic of what it looks like inside, contents etc. Looks a damn nice set.

So this is the proper Grindhouse experience, with the fake trailers etc?

Ahh sorry, I was under the assumption it was just a repackage of the original discs. If it is the "true grindhouse experiance" then yes, that's awesome!

Is this a JB exclusive packaging?

EzyDVD have this listed, but coming out a month later, and it's an extra $10. Though they don't have any artwork up.

They won't have it until next week if its release date is 4/8.

As for Apocalypse Now, you might want to wait until Wednesday. Sure being the first in the world is good and all but Wednesday night is 20% off night. Besides, these metal slips might end up looking a bit meh so who knows whether collectors will go for them big time like the steel cases.

This is gonna be awesome... Wonder if there are extra special features...

Also, I've heard that Robert Rodriguez and or Quentin Tarantino are sourcing this (AU release) version for their own personal collection

They probably 'source' all the worldwide releases.. I know I would if I were a film-maker..

The pushed the date back. When Supernaut originally posted the JB link, it had a release date for this week. It's since been changed to next week - same day as EzyDVD.

They always say DVD in the ads and it's always DVD and Blu-ray. You can go with 100% certainty that Blu-ray is included.

EDIT: If you think there are going to be issues, just print out the Facebook event page: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=259533257396298

Clearly says DVD and Blu-ray.

Thanks, will return the unopened one tomorrow and rebuy, although it seems no one wants Apocalypse Now with manufacturing scratches.

Don't see anything about this release being a steelbook.

It's not. I think Supernaut was just speculating initially. As KaiGusto said it looks like a box like Pulp Fiction and being that they're both Roadshow it's a good bet that's exactly what it'll be.
