What game to buy? - Blu-ray Forum

I just got my PS3 today and don't have any games. This is actually my first Playstation ever (Xbox Fan). I'm not big into single player because I play with my fellow friends be it online or LAN. What's a good mulitplayer game? Thanks for your inputs.

COD4 is a good multiplayer....but if youre looking for THE best multiplayer game on any console...ill give the nod to warhawk....it redefines epic battles...oh and also unreal tournament...for now its a ps3 exclusive

Instant buy should be Unreal Tornament 3 - the mutators and costum maps are great.
Then buy Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Ninja Gaiden Sigma

Is uncharted really that good? Everyone seems to like it, but like I said I don't care for single player games. *cough* i didn't like assassin's creed.

Call of Duty 4 and Resistance would be the two i would suggest.

I'd avoid Unreal Tournament 3 like the plague - borrowed it from a friend last week, and i really don't like it one bit...terrible game.

I'm like you...i thought Assassins Creed was okay - would have been better if it hadn't been hyped up so much. I'm not really a fan of single player games either - but i really did enjoy Uncharted.

i bought resistance and dont like it that much. I first bought COD: 4 and beat that in a week & then bought Resistance and it sucks compared to COD4.

COD4 is fun playing mulitplayer online too. that would be the first game u should get.

I was thinking of getting Assassins Creed, Is it really crappy? How about Uncharted Drakes Fortune??? OR should i wait for TUROK, since its the same type of concept in my opinion.

Warhawk is the best. Also oblivion if you don't have it on the 360 (i know it is not multilayer)

Warhawk has been the most fun multiplayer game I've played on PS3, but I haven't played COD4 and I hear its good also

Can't go wrong with Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. And Guitar Hero III looks amusing.

Right now I am playing Ressistance and its got me hooked.i was playing Assassin Creed but it just didn't hold my interest.

Ressistance is a must.

Multiplayer - Rock Band, Warhawk.

Single Player - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Trust me, this game is the best out for the PS3 and development on the 2nd game in the series has begun. A must buy.

I do agree to while Assassin's is a good game it didn't live up to the hype.

COD4 is a great game. However, seemed kinda short. I beat the single player in 3 days. (Approx. 9 or so hrs.) I have yet to play online as I am at my parents for xmas break still and they only have dial up. lol it sucks. but multi player is the main reason I purchased the game.

Also I love assassins creed. I think the concept and game play is exceptional. It def. takes alot longer to beat then COD4, as I have had it for a couple of weeks and just assinated my 8th guy. I would def. rent the game at least to see if you like it, as I have heard many people say they did not care for it.

They said that a sequel was in the works, not that development had officially begun. I'm hoping they're well into the next Jak & Daxter by now.

how bout some sports games. madden 08 is pretty good, nhl 08 is good aswell. or if basketball is what you fancy then there is nba 08. if you do want a shooting game, then you cant go wrong with CoD 4.
