Captain America has my vote, but I can't believe how overrated Iron Man is! It was good, but better than Thor? No way! Better than The Incredible Hulk? That's up for debate. Iron Man was the weakest Avenger, IMO, in the comics and was always the first one getting smoked in a fight. That movie would never had stood a chance without Robert Downey Jr.

i dont know if its just because its the most recent one i saw, but i still think a year from now Cap will be my favorite. well, besides Avengers (hopefully(probably))

its really close bewteen Cap, Iron Man, and TIH. they all have their different strengths. i loved Thor too, but its not quite as good as those three imo. Iron Man 2 is definitely a step down, but not bad at all.

1. Captain America :TFA
2. Iron Man
3. The Incredible Hulk
4. Thor
5. Iron Man 2

Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk can be swapped at any given moment though.

Thor is my favorite...even though it wasn't as good as I had hoped (I wanted it to be 10-20 minutes longer to flesh some things out more).

Thor
Captain America
Iron Man 2
The Incredible Hulk
Iron Man

4.5/5 for each.

So anything below a 4.5/5 for Avengers will be a massive disappointment.

Default These films are all good in their own right...

Captain America
Iron Man
The Incredible Hulk
Thor Iron Man II

I'm not certain how The Avengers will turn out, however, Captain America and Iron Man seemed to bring the character's stories to life in the "real World" best; especially Iron Man.
[Show spoiler]I believe although CA's ending may seem a bit hurried, I wouldn't be surprised if The Avengers opens with him being found, like the Coulson cameo in IM2, found it's way in the Thor film.

Mere speculation.

I think they all could have been better but csdot's list is the most accurate in my opinion.

Iron Man sucked, Captain America doesn't interest me, but Thor pleasantly surprised me. I usually don't go for comic book movies.

Since we could only vote for one, I went with Cap, but the 2008 Hulk film rocked as well.

I liked the heavy SciFi / Fantasy feel of Thor. All pretty good movies though.

Iron Man 2 was just a sad movie. First time I watched it I was sick and thought I did not enjoy it because my throat was killing me. I then watched it with my wife again and I was like wth happened here.

I voted Iron Man, but I really enjoyed Thor. Anthony Hopkins took Thor up a couple notches in my opinion. I haven't seen Cap yet, but I'm looking forward to it. By the looks of the poll it should be good.

Thor hand's down. It had the EPIC feel that is needed for super hero movies.

The Incredible Hulk would've been up there if Marvel hadn't decided to replace Edward Norton. I don't even count The Incredible Hulk since they are going to reboot it anyways with Mark Ruffalo.
