And downloading from PS Store will take hours if files are as big as 1GB-2GB.

Don't have a better choice of ISP where I am now.

Good thing there is a lot of quality single player games. Also 3 is not that bad I think the average is 5-7 , I have 25mbps just sharing

playing online with 2mbs and I am ruling and often the server in MW2, so it is only a matter off the quality.

I used my Tmobile G2x as a wifi hot spot and was able to play MW2 with no lag onilne. I was pretty surprised and have considered dropping cable internet. Would save me 40 bucks a month. used about 15 MB of data in 45 minutes or so and I have 5GB a month before they slow down my data speeds. Thts plenty for me. My wife also has a data plan on her phone so she could use hers for the laptop and desktop if she needed. She also has 5 GB of data on her line. Speedtest shows 2.5-5 MB speeds.

I would kill for 25Mb up. Mine has gone down considerably to around 3Mb. My down went from 28Mb to 18Mb. Kills me.

My MAX speed is 5Mb download, and not even 1Mb up. WiFi on the PS3 is slooooooow. Its only b/g. I was getting download speeds of 2Mb over WiFi on my PS3. But since I've switched to ethernet cable I'm getting steady 4MB download speeds.

For online play your Ping times are also important.

At those speeds I would expect them to be offering an unlimited data plan. Theres no point having those kind of speeds only to have them slap a 250gb a month limit on it

I've got Roadrunner through Time Warner, over here. It's my only real option since this is an AT&T service area so no go for FiOS which I would jump on in a heartbeat. My brother got FiOS almost ten years ago. That bastard.

That's why you have the option of turning it off and letting it download and install. You do it once. What's the big deal? How many games do you buy a day and download? I used to download games through dial up that were hundreds of MBs. That meant my phone was down for hours. THAT's a big deal. Have to make an urgent phone call? Start all over when you are done.

The FCC early this year released its strategic plan. By 2010 they want to have 100mb HSI to 90% of the U.S.. Cheap too. Major cities will have free wi-fi. Cities will have 1 free 1000mb access point.

should be fine, the biggest speed you want for online gaming is a fast upload speed.
