Default Sony BDP-S1 question...

I just got a Sony BDP-S1 and I hooked it up to a Sony Bravia through HDMI and when I switch the video format to 1080p it goes to a black fuzzy screen. Why can't I watch it on 1080p?

So I switch it to auto and it goes to 1080/60i source: 1080/24p. Is this the highest resolution I can get? I am new to this whole thing and I want to get the highest resolution. Can someone explain this to me? Thanks.

Default Model #?

Hello, and welcome to the forum. What's the model number of your Bravia?

Your TV can't accept 1080p, it is a 720p panel.
