I'd gladly re-buy "The Black Hole" if they release it to Blu-Ray. I'm sure it's really low on Disney's priority list though.

For sci-fi in general, I'm personally waiting on...

"The Abyss"
The original "Battlestar Galactica"
"The Blob" (either version)
"Fantastic Voyage"
"The Fly" 1950s
"The Fly II" 1980s (they put the first one out )
"The Iron Giant"
"Mission to Mars" (might import)
"My Science Project"
"Rollerball" 1970s
"Scanners" (might import)
"They Live"
"Time Crimes"
"The Time Machine" 1960 (and the 2002 one would be okay too)
"Titan AE"
The "V" miniseries
"War of the Worlds" 1950s
"Zardoz" (maybe)

And plenty of lesser ones, like "Battlefield Earth," "Wing Commander," "Virus," etc...

There's a ton of 50's B-movie sci-fi that I know will never see the light of blu. I'd love to see movies like Mole Men, I married a Monster from Outer Space, Invasion of the Saucer Men, and all those "teenage" sci-fi films. Many never made it to DVD, so I'm sure they will fade into history over time.

No, and if it was, the transfer probably wouldn't satisfy you if you are picture quality sensitive. Apparently, it is not entirely clear whether it can qualify as HD or an upgraded SD transfer. For me, personally, the weird color/brightness combo of the transfer bothers me more than the overall picture.

As for this thread, 70s sci-fi movies like Demon Seed, Westworld and Futureworld need to get Blu Ray treatment IMO.

Nuts, I didn't even know that. Thanks for the info.

"Westworld" is another flick I'd love to have.
