Please submit to Amazon to match Deep Discount's lower price!!! I'd rather do Amazon, since I get free 2day, but I'll go with DD if they don't match. DD has been great with their shipping so far for me

Any Canadian members ordered for this movie but haven't received it yet? I ordered it from Bandai Entertainment's web store in August and it's still "processing". The Canadian street date is Oct. 4, according to Amazon CA and HMV CA, but having seen "not in stock" on and off on both Canadian and American websites, I'm wondering if there's a distribution and/or supply problem.

I live in the U.S., and my copy took about 9 days to arrive from Rightstuf.com since it was on backorder. But I just barely now finished watching it and the movie was really good.

Now it's time for me to continue playing my limited edition copy of The Reminiscences of Haruhi Suzumiya PS3 version.

I finally nabbed the BD at the music store on the east side of town last week. It doesn't play on my Magnavox BD player even with the latest update, but it works on my Sony laptop (same situation with my Castle of Cagliostro BD, only this one plays normally on my Magnavox except the menu buttons don't appear and thus I'm trapped on the menu until I hit the stop button, then when I press play it returns me back where I started when I put it in). What's going on? Is my Magnavox BD player finally out of date?

Have you tried other movies on your Magnavox besides those 2? You might want to give them a call to see if they can do anything about it.

Sadly, it's true. What I decided to do with it was to put it in my dedicated anime DVD shelving next to my Haruhi DVDs (both Seasons 1-2 and Haruhi-chan)...

It is true because it comes with the DVD version of the movie as well plus the Extras disc is also a DVD. So this makes it a 3 disc set in 1 DVD size case.

Bandai also made a version of the movie that only has the movie plus Extras disc without the Blu-ray version.

Yes, I have played other movies on my Magnavox and they work perfectly (save for my Blu-ray 3D discs from Disney, which require a 3D player, which I think I got in the form of Corel software).

Having been long out-of-print, it's really good news that Funimation has licensed Disappearance of Haruhi for release on May 30. It should come in a BD-sized case this time...

Only $50, was there something wrong with it? For reference, I sold mine for $200 back in May.

This release was teased by Funi in November, so I was just glad to get rid of it.

I guess the market for it must've collapsed after Funi put out the "Ultimate Collector's Edition" box with the obvious space for it then. At that point most people certainly would not be nearly as desperate to pay $TEXAS for the Bandai copy when they could just wait several months to pay ~$25 at retail.

That, and the supply side of the equation likely picked up steam by people selling their old copy in anticipation of the Funi release to complete the box set, further depressing prices.

I'm usually good at remembering such things; I must be having an off day if I couldn't even think of that off the top of my head...

I already own the original Bandai release, but I am so happy to see it getting a re-release. I plan on re-buying it so I can put it in the ultimate collectors edition. My only problem with this is that the artwork doesn't match up with the rest of the cases in the collectors edition. Makes me wonder if Funimation plans on maybe doing some kind of limited edition with alternate artwork and some extras?
