Higanjima: Escape from Vampire Island Blu-ray

Higanjima: Escape from Vampire Island Blu-ray Review

FUNimation will release Higanjima: Escape from Vampire Island on Blu-ray this Halloween season. This live-action adaptation of the popular horror manga stars Hideo Ishiguro (Gokusen: The Movie) as Akira, a young man who leads a group of friends to Higanjima in order to save his brother from the bloodthirsty creatures that inhabit the island.

While the complete technical and supplementary details for this Blu-ray/DVD combo pack are still unknown, the film will contain both English dubbed and Japanese (w/English subtitles) audio tracks. The disc will also include a number of special features, such as:

"Making of" featurette
Theatrical trailer

Higanjima: Escape from Vampire Island is expected to street on October 4th.

I'm planning on picking up the German Blu-ray since it's going for about $8.75.

FUNimation is a hit or miss for me. But from the trailer this one looks like a fun BD to watch without being too campy. Has anyone seen this yet?

I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but this is a combo pack with both a BD and a DVD.

Does it come in BR packaging or DVD packaging?

dvd packaging.

total BS.

The cover artwork won't even fit in a blu ray case. I'm actually going to have make my own cover and print it off. The DVD case looks horrible up on the shelf with the other blus. Even the cover artwork itself looks printed off on a crappy printer. I was hoping for a slipcover but we didn't ever get a BD case.

Not cool funimation.
