Nope. I already have a wireless PS3 bluetooth headset. It works great!

Ya I already have that one as well but I want these for when wifey hogs up my tv and the kids hog up the bedroom tv I can then hook up my ps3 to my 22 inch 1080p monitor and play with sound at my computer desk. My own little play area Sucks though if they dont work for movie plackback, just in case I ever want to watch a movie which I highly doubt I will but hey it wouldnt hurt.

You may be surprised at how many people are annoyed by most people with headsets like yours because for the vast majority playing war, sports, or other loud games, the game sounds are picked up and echoing over the voice chat channel. Thankful most games come with mute for players with Bluetooth headsets. You want people to stop muting you, you need a setup like these Sony headphones.

The sony mics are pretty good covering up background noise. Its when you get these cheap bluetooth mics that you hear all the feedback noise in the background. Then again I always try to keep my mic on mute if the kids are running a much near me when I'm playing.

Well that's cool, just saying that most often, Bluetooth headsets in general bring a certain amount of annoyance to the other people if the game. Its natural to play a war game or sport game loud, that often bleeds through.

Experts say you need to spend 10x on speakers to get the same level of quality you do with a headset. So a $100 headset is roughly equal sound quality wise to $1000 speaker system. You get a good enough quality headset, that is obvious because you hear things you never did before.

Me too oh well got it preordered and even traded in Socom 4 to Amazon since I never played it. That puts me at that $65 dollar price lmao

I really wish Sony would give more information on this. We are a few days away from release and there is still alot of unknown. Even Amazon is screwy with a delivery estimate of Sept 9, but that might be due to the Holiday on Monday.

Ditto. Sony released a few PC only mics a year ago that were given great reviews... I just wish I knew about these mics or that some reviews for them were out.

I'm going to wait a few weeks before i pull the trigger, need to see some reviews first, no rush, hopefully it will go on sale soon too, if not, its still a great value at $99.

I'm still holding out for these Sennheiser-RS-130-Wireless-Headphones, as I've read nothing but great reviews on 'em but if the word on the upcoming Sony headset is favorable I may just start looking into 'em. Still like the Sennheiser one's tho' as it will be a bit more practical for my entire audio/video setup. But the Sony's price sure is looking nice

Well seeing we are 4 days away and most of the information (separate volume control, 40mm speaker size) had to be confirmed from an outside source posting unconfirmed pictures.

Since I missed out on the $65 Amazon deal, Overstock has these for $75 shipped. I just switched my preorder from Amazon to Overstock, for $25 dollar saving I can wait a few days.
