My new "collection" room ( work in progress ) - Blu-ray Forum

So we bought the house next door to where we were renting. There's an extra bedroom that I am using as my collection room. It's a work in progress with a bulk of stuff getting done this weekend ( I get my DVD shelving unit, formerly from Hollywood Video, & hopefully a bunch of movies out of storage )

Here's some pics of the room so far ( it's not a BIG room but it's gonna be nice:

Thanks. It'll look more like a "collection" room this weekend. The shelves on the wall are for figures, etc. Perhaps each shelf will be a different theme or singled out for a different movie fave. Who knows.

Thanks for the compliments on the shelves that I already put up.

I've become somewhat of an expert putting those up. That particular wall took about 15 - 20 min.

Gonna get my large DVD rack out of storage after work...& hopefully get it put together tonight.

Gotta decide what posters / prints / etc I'm gonna display too. Got limited wall space so it's gonna be tough.

I did get this ( below ) yesterday to go with my Troma swag shelf...for $6.99 shipped.

Got the shelving unit out of storage. This is just 2 bays of it. They came from Hollywood Video ( I was a store manager in Tucson...got em when we closed a store ).

Yes...there's a back panal missing there on the bottom right. Didn't realize til after I took the pic. I fixed it.

Are you planning on painting the shelves etc?

I'm not great at the "fine details" that's why I hide my movies in the component room

I'm going to paint the bracketed shelves black. Bought some yardsticks ( yes I know..it was the cheapest way to go )...& painted them black to go on the wall side of the shelves so there was something for items to rest to keep stuff straight.

The BIG unit has a chrome strip down the middle piece. Hate it. That's how they were at the Hollywood I managed. Gonna fix that too somehow.
