Default Help my FIL finish off his setup please! (highish end)

Hi guys.
My FIL has always enjoyed his audio and already has some high quality components, mainly for listening to music.
He is moving into his new house soon and would like to sort the rest of the gear out while he can get deals in Hong Kong and before he moves in. He has the surround sound speakers, but no 5.1 processor or subwoofer or amplifier.

The setup is going in a living room. A long rectangular room with the TV on a far, small end of rectangle. The room is 20? meters long? Guessing.
One side of the rectangle is all glass doors. Would you suggest heavy furnishings there for sound and light suppressant?

Attached is a diagram of the setup so far.
It is complicated because of the need to serve two parts - hifi audio and high quality surround sound. His current plan is to buy separates - the preprocessor can always be upgraded as standards evolve but a good poweramp lasts for decades.
Check the diagram for any noticeable mistakes. Ive noticed the Sub isnt connected to the 2 channel amp for music and the foxtel could prob go through amp.

Notable missing parts are; NEED ADVICE ON THESE OR ALTERNATIVES
5 channel amp - Looking for a good 2nd hand one?
Pre processor - He is looking at Anthem
Sub - He is looking at Velodyne DD Plus ($3300AUD in HK)

Subs Ive heard two is better as the sound wave around the room is equalized more and Ive also heard buy the best you can afford and add another later. Advice there as well please.
He has good equipment, I worry the biggest issue is the room its in with the hard floors, no bass traps and glass sides being the biggest issue

He is in Hong Kong so can get good cheap prices, hopes to get away with $10k AUD to finish the project.
(Ignore the castle carrington, he messing around)

Check the attached link and help all you can please.

Jesus, this guy doesn't look like he needs any help from us with the kind of gear he's already tooling around with.

Anthem, Integra, Integra, NAD or Marantz would make good pre-processors to connect into his system.

If he wants the ultimate in blu-ray/HD processing, then he could look into getting one of these

That looks nice, but he already has the oppo. Its been modified to region free and apparently to audiophile standards somehow.
