ps3 playback - Blu-ray Forum

how is the playstation 3 for playback on movies ...... i have the bd-p1000 samsung player right now and ive heard that the playstation 3 is much better is this true? and if so i am selling my player for around 180 w/ 5 year warranty if anyone is intrested? thanks

The nicest thing about the playback on the PS3 is that it literally takes about 10 seconds to load the disc. Otherwise, the picture is as good as it gets and the endless other features of the unit make for one hell of a versatile unit.

The PS3 loads movies in 5-10 seconds, and has absolutely none of the firmware problems the Samsung players are famous for.

Plus it has wireless/wired internet for easy upgrades and Profile 2.0 compliance.

Its in an entirely different class than the samsungs. Its no contest.

The PlayStation 3 is the most versatile, quickest-loading most-value-added Blu-ray unit out there. It is also future-proof (already 2.0 compliant). With this kind of a price-tag, the PlayStation 3 is the best deal out there for Blu-ray players.

thats the reason i bought a ps3,my video gaming is done on my 360 and even though im an xbox ***** i couldnt support hd dvd....
