Regan Blu-ray

It appears Network will continue their excellent line of remastered classic TV on BD with Regan (the original "Armchair Cinema" pilot for) The Sweeney (1975), starring John Thaw (Inspector Morse) and Dennis Waterman.

Street date is 10th October.

Bring it on, I say!

Really pleased to hear about this one - I recently got the Sweeney season 1-4 DVD boxset (which does not contain Regan) and have been ploughing through it, and loving every minute. Superb stuff

I'll probably hold out for a complete box, Network can be sneaky buggers issuing individual series followed by a box with more stuff as can be seen with the forthcoming Callan DVD box. There are a few good books on the programme, Shut It by Pat Gilbert, The Official Companion and Fags Slags Blags And Jags (which is out of print) there's also a soundtrack CD. I wonder what happened to the proposed film with Ray Winstone?

I am pretty close to pre-booking this just to see how it looks, and to encourage them to go ahead with the plans for releasing the whole series. Not sure I would take it as a man if this were to be cancelled
