Monoprice UPS/Battery Backup

Hey, does anybody have or know any info regarding this? I have a few questions about it. I tried asking Monoprice's online service, but i got different answers and not toto sure.

Essentially, i wanted to know if all the outlets were surge protected, regulated and noise filtered or not? The website isnt clear and i got a yes to all and a only 4 are as my answers from them.

Which model? Is it this one?

Correct, that is the one. I think it is the only one they carry. I am not sure. But that is the one I am talking about.

If you're looking for filtering, take a look at the APC gear.

If you have real power fluctuations or lots of brownouts, this Monoprice unit isn't a bad idea, but be forewarned - the batteries in these things don't last all that long, even if they're not kicking in very often. Lifespan on every one I've tried is two years, at most, usually less.

I think you're right. I just wanted to be sure that we were talking about the same model just in case.

I'm pretty certain that this UPS has surge protection on all outlets. It has battery backup for four of them. All of the outlets appear to be regulated for consistent voltage, as well as having noise filters. The way I read the item description box is all 10 of the outlets are the same, with the exception of those four that have the battery backup.

Ok, perfect. Thanks for the help. I dont understand why when i asked them they first said only 4. Also, you say 4 UPS outlets. If you look at the picture of the back of the device, it looks like it says 6 are UPS protected. IT seems to say "UPS Output" around 6 of the outlets.

I see that. Interesting. I couldn't fathom a situation where those four weren't actually UPS protected, but I suppose that is possible. They really didn't set up that description very well, nor did they make it very clear anywhere. I might go with another vendor for something like this, like APC (mentioned by Blu-Dog already).
