Post List me the BD movies from FOX that have english subtitles for their bonus materials

I'm a very adamant person when it comes to enabling English subtitles for bonus material/special features/extra features/whatever the studio are calling it. Not so much that I'm deaf, but I like to know exactly what the participants are saying as they discuss the process of filmmaking; that's my little habit. Here's what I know about certain companies as of recent:

Warner Bros./New Line, Buena Vista/Disney, Paramount Pictures/Dreamworks, Universal Studios and Summit Entertainment provides English subs for their bonus materials.

Lionsgate, Anchor Bay, and HBO doesn't provide English subs for their bonus materials; Criterion does provide English subs, but only for non-English material and never for my primary language (it would nice if the prestigious company did as an option).

The only companies that weren't quite as consistent with either category are Sony and 20th Century Fox. At least with Sony, they brand what subtitles are included for the bonus materials on the back cover of their BDs. With Fox, I don't know; they provide the mentioning of subtitles, but not if they're meant for the main feature only or more. I figured Fox is a "subtitles for main feature only" company, but then I bought a copy of Fight Club, and that blu-ray disc has subtitles for all the bonus materials as well as for the commentary tracks. I thought at the point, the home entertainment brand has changed their practice a bit, but then later I checked the Avatar: Collector's Edition set and neither Disk 2 nor Disk 3 have English subtitles for any of its awesome documentaries and deleted scenes.

For those who collect a lot of BDs from FOX (as well as those from MGM, which FOX is its current distributor), could you help me to list the movies that have English subtitles for their bonus materials? Is Fight Club the only FOX/MGM BD that has English subs not just for the main feature?

I have to say, I don't like the lack of responses for my request. Matter of fact, before I registered for this forum, I looked across a scant amount of users who were asking the same questions about their movies and they never get a response either; neither from here, from AVSforum, from HTD, and so on. Where is the help? It isn't hard to pop a disc, enable a subtitle option on the menu and check on a special feature for a fellow user, just out of kindness.

If nobody's willing to list every single BD from 20th Century Fox, could you at least humor me in finding out if these FOX/MGM-related BDs have english subtitles for their bonus features:

- Alien Anthology
- Raging Bull
- Predators

You realize that most people here have jobs and post from work, right? So posting during business hours and not giving anyone a chance to get home and find out before complaining... So no, it is not as easy as popping in a disc to check.
Judging from your apparent sense of entitlement, I think you will find lack of responses in the future to be quite common.

Oh, I am sorry. Did I miss the notice that all of the members of this forum are now at your beck and call? As the other gent said, a majority of the users on this forum have jobs, and have more important things to do than to go through every single one of their Fox/MGM discs just to find out if there are English subtitles, especially for somebody whom doesn't even need them, but just likes them.

If you want more information, why not contact MGM or Fox directly, and ask them if they have a list of BD's that provide English subtitles.

I see you are new, but you may try a little respect in requesting such information from others, or ultimately, you yourself will not get any in return.

I apologize if I was rather assertive. I'm aware many people here have their own business to take care of, and I don't want to infer on their personal lives for my selfish request.

But at the same time, I see questions like what I asked come and go without a respond and it bothers me. Even if people here really don't have the time to go over what every single person wanted to know, if many of these people manage to take time to take a photo of their BD packages and uploaded it in their posts to pique a user's curiosity, or make a very explicit response regarding the technical qualities of a blu-ray disc, they should have the opportunity to revisit the content of a BD to answer one's question. Admittedly, most replies like those don't happen right away.

I'm willing to take my time for an answer.

That is good, believe me, I was all worried you weren't going to take your time.

Why not do some research on your own? Contributing members of this forum often do research on their own, and post lists and information to help others, they do not just expect other members to do it all for them.

If it bothers you so much that questions like this go unanswered, be proactive about it, and find the answers yourself, post them, and help somebody else while helping yourself.

I thought I might provide an example, maybe to help you better understand my last comment.

Take a look at the user HD_Goofnut. He has put together many lists and posts which help other members by compiling useful information.

For example:

List of BD's with 7.1 Audio

He has compiled master lists of information on all sorts of topics, such as a master list of all the aspects ratios of BD movies, a list of all the titles that were released on HDDVD and not yet on Blu-Ray, and as seen above, a list of all BD's with 7.1 Audio, etc.

He has literally probably spent hundreds of hours compiling this information for other users. He does it because he is a contributing member to the community.

I know myself, HD_Goof, and many others also do the same. See the difference?

You would be better off starting a thread that lists all of the titles you are aware of that have English subtitles, and maybe respectfully request other users to add to the list ones they are aware of. Over time, you may develop a useful master thread of titles that do offer English Subs in the special features.

I was being proactive, actually. On a different topic, I commented that there weren't English subtitles for the bonus content on the Apocalypse Now BD, regardless if the edition is 2-disc or Full Dossier.

But I have financial limitations on what I can research. It would be easy if I just rent the FOX BDs to find out the question for myself, but FOX (as well as Warner Bros.) has recently taken the "Rental Exclusive" practice and now all of their newest movies like Predators exclude all of the bonus content; therefore, renting is out of the question. And I can't afford to pay $70-100 dollars on Alien Anthology just to find out if the bonus discs have english subtitles for the special features.

I figured that there's plenty of people here that owned Alien Anthology, watched every nook and cranny this set has, and is willing to cooperate when someone made a curious question. It would be a cost-saving measure.

However, if no one else is really willing to help me, then I might have make this a personal project like what that HD_Goofnut fellow has done.

Clearly we have different definitions of being proactive. As mine does not include being upset that no one has answered all of your questions and met your requests yet.

Also, this community is certainly helpful, more helpful than probably any of them out there, but that does not mean that people are going to go through every Fox/MGM BD to get this information for you.

Your expectations are clearly out of range.

Regardless, good luck to you.

I'd say it's more "begrudging impatient" than upset.

Speaking of being begrudgingly impatient. Is there a smiley face for that? There should be after this thread.

OK, I'm new here on blu-ray forum, yes I'm deaf. I love to be here on the forum with you all. After that I watched
"Home Alone: Family Fun Edition" on Netflix rental disc. I glad they included bonus materials on the disc. Hooray! Guess what, most bonus materials does have subtitles including audio commentary. That why I posted it, because this movie is my favorite childhood movie ever even these days I enjoyed it on the Blu-ray.
