Cool The iBlu Idea

Wouldn't it be awesome if you could have a 300 disc BD Player that let you choose the movie by the cover art, like you can your albums on your Ipod touch.??????
Does this Exist

No consumer mega-BD Changer is being offered yet. However Sony has annouced an expensive and large BD changer ($3500) that stores 200 discs (BDs, DVD, or CDs) model HES-V1000. Here is a link for more info. It's really a media server that includes a disc changer.

I've seen this monster in action. It certainly does look fantastic and it's all a touch sensitive glass panel on the top of the unit (just like the PS3 power/eject button, but without ANY type of brail like fell... completely smooth). It would be convenient for Blu-ray enthusiats, but the damn thing is SO SLOW AT DOING EVERYTHING! Even after choosing a disc it takes up to 3 minutes to find the disc, pull the disc, situate the disc in the playing area... then it suffers from the typical load times of a standalone player.

Still... woult look gorgeous in a devoted home theatre.

I did not even know they were making something like that. That is pretty cool to keep all your movies in even more so if you have enought o fill it with.

Thanks Petra_Kalbrain for the details on that unit. I was looking at that unit but after what you wrote there is no way I am going to put any money down on that. I don't think I can deal with 3-minute disc seek times. Pretty but not practical for me.

After you touch it, do you have the urge to smash a wild pig with a bone?
