Default Sony BDP S1000ES "Cannot operate this disc" error.

My Sony BDP S1000ES player suddenly not playing any of the BD Disc . I am keep getting "Cannot Operate this Disc" message. All DVDS are playing fine in this player.

I bought this player last year and it had been playing all BD discs without any issues.

Any one had this error message and any solution?

Thanks

Never had a problem. Good thing for the 5 year warranty.

Hey, I and a whole lot of others have experienced this issue with various Sony BDPlayers. I was wondering had you recently updated the firmware? When did you last do that?

How did things work out? I had to send ($15 for s/h) my BDP-s560 to Laredo, TX under the warranty for them to re-flash the firmware.

I had the same proplem with my old S350 and I bought one of those BD Lens cleaners, ran it on the machine and problem solved. But you have to make sure you buy the one specifically for Blu Ray players. My advice is, make sure the player has the latest firmware installed, then try cleaning the BD lens with the BD Lens cleaner before contacting Sony.
