This is just a heads up for anyone planning to order the game from Amazon.

Pay attention to #3

"Pre-order Bonus
Pre-order NBA 2K12, for PS3 or Xbox 360, and receive 1) a $10 promotional credit toward the purchase of items shipped and sold by Amazon.com (certain exclusions apply, including Kindle books, MP3s, and video rentals and downloads), 2) two bonus NBA teams, the '90-'91 Golden State Warriors and '01-'02 Sacramento Kings, and 3) files to print out the front cover of your choice (Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, or Magic Johnson), as which cover you initially receive cannot be guaranteed."

So technically you don't get a choice of cover athelete since they are shipped at random, but you do get to print out the cover of your choice. Not a deal breaker since the game will still be amazing, but for those people who have to have an original MJ cover or someone else, you should consider shopping somewhere else this one time.

Is this the only thread on 2k12? Looks like they'll be doing the DLC route for the greatest teams? Which are included?

I want the Magic cover as well, but it's random from Amazon. I'm betting Jordan covers will be more plentiful than Magic and Bird. I do like that you get the '90-'91 Warriors if you buy from Amazon. Run T-M-C.

Target is offering a $10 gift card if you want to buy in-store.

Definitely want the Magic cover. I want the 1987 and 2001 Lakers and repeatedly crush the 91-98 Chicago teams as well as the '84 and '08 Leprechauns.

Stopped in Target this morning and got the Magic cover.

They didn't have any copies on the floor and the guy said he only saw 2 Magic versions in the back.

Just out of curiosity. When you got your copy from Target, did it come with The Warriors/Kings DLC code?

I'm still at work, and the game hasn't been opened. I thought I read on other sites that the first run copies will include the Warriors and Kings. I previously thought that was an exclusive through Amazon.

I was actually going to ask you guys if you also got that DLC code w/o preordering. But I can tell it must be ALL first batch copies.

I went to 2 Targets today and both had copies of all 3 covers. They had more of each for the 360 though

I'm waiting on ups to deliver my game from Amazon though.

I also went to Best Buy and they had the game on display available to play on the ps3. So I played the game at Best Buy for a while, briefly tried out all the 15 greatest legend teams. I must say NBA 2k12 is where amazing happens. I love this game. Its Fantastic. No puns intended

I do mean it tho.

I picked up the Magic cover at target. Seemed like they have a good 90% of them as the Magic. Didn't see any Jordans and saw one Bird. Resisted the urge to sneer at it.

Well today on my lunch break I went to Best Buy and was able to get a great deal.

Here is what I did:

Printed out this K-Mart deal which is giving a $20 credit coupon for your next purchase with them and also printed out the list of participating stores in my area and highlighted the deal and stores in my area:

Went to Best Buy asked the employee to give me the $20 credit and instead he said would just give me $15 off the game since they can't price match gift card deals. Canceled and switched my $5 pre order for Battlefield 3 and put it towards NBA 2K12. Used a $11 gift card I had left.

Walked out with a brand new copy with the Magic Johnson cover and paid $31.36

Best Buy in my area had a bunch of each 3 covers.

It don't matter what team you use

Laker fans have it best with our rich history and all of the historic teams in this years game.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I can't get any game to actually load up. I was going to play in quick game mode, and once I got my teams selected, I hit the start button to advance. Then it shows the loading screen, then it takes me back to the main menu screen. ????

Wow! that is wierd. I'm still at work so unfortunately I can't try it for myself, but either way I hope it starts working for you

Log out of 2K's sport connect thing.

I heard the 2K servers were all screwed up today.

Also the pre order bonus redeem codes for the bonus Warriors & Kings teams people are reporting problems and having problems downloading them.
