Lossless audio (Uncompressed PCM only) with multichannel analog from the BD-S300

Lossless from the PS3...no. (HTS800 is passthrough, needs optical)

what price range would you be looking in, I can recommend a good set-up?

Doesn't look like it. It has no mention in the specifications about Dolby TrueHD, DTS HD-MA, or PCM. I'd keep looking. Look at an Onkyo or Yamaha receiver first and foremost. Onkyo 605/705/805 are good ones to consider. Don't know Yamaha model numbers, sorry. I went with the Onkyo 805 when I was shopping around for one. As for the speakers, depends on your budget. I recommend Bowers & Wilkins, but the 5 speakers and subwoofer cost me $2000. Don't know if that's in your price range.

I want to spend about $1,000 to $1,200. I was checking out some Onkyo and Harman Kardon recievers, but I'm freakin clueless as how to buy speakers! Right now I have a Home Thearter in a Box from Sony, so I didn't have to worry about buying speakers. I bought the HTIB before I had HD anything so I didn't care about sound that much.
