Batman Begins is not on Blu-Ray for example... otherwise the point that they have sold only 4100 copies on HD-DUD and has been available for MONTHS, and that Crank has sold over 7500 copies and has only been available for a few WEEKS would have been much stronger, at least to the "not-so-in-the-know" reader.

According to my quick calculation from the numbers released recently and the number of titles available, when you divide, the average number of sales for a high definition title comes out to about 2700, +/- 100. (Each format)

That's about 300 per month per HD DVD title and about 385 month per Blu title. But as supposedly HD DVD was outselling Blu's 3 to 1 before the PS3 and other standalones launches, well using a brown calculator, you get 100 Blu-ray units/title/monthly for the first few months and about 1000 units/title per month after the PS3...

The 3 to 1 ratio reversed.

I think that's a pretty safe statement, sooner or later the HD-DVD people will not be able to ignore the sales numbers if they continue on this trend.

It starts getting rough for them in March with Casino Royale...how about when we get into May and gems like the two Pirates films from Disney show up, among other things?

Anyone wanna take a ballpark stab as to what those sales numbers are going to look like?
