Default Danny Kaye

Love White Christmas on blu...and would like to see more of Danny Kaye's Technicolor extravaganzas of the 40s and 50s, including one I just say yesterday with my daughter which is quite a funny parody of a Hitchcock thriller, Knock on Wood. Here's a clip, where Danny Kaye is trying to escape from the police and the bad guys by going into a musical ballet:

I think there are at least half a dozen other Kaye movies that deserve the blu treatment. Would a Criterion box set be possible?

I would say my favorite with him as always been The Court Jester. I would not mind replacing my DVD with a Blu-ray

"The Court Jester" is indeed a wonderfully funny film. Danny Kaye is brilliant. I too would love to replace my DVD with a Blu ray.

Hawkins: I've got it! I've got it! The pellet with the poison's in the vessel with the pestle; the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true! Right?
Griselda: Right. But there's been a change: they broke the chalice from the palace!
Hawkins: They *broke* the chalice from the palace?
Griselda: And replaced it with a flagon.
Hawkins: A flagon...?
Griselda: With the figure of a dragon.
Hawkins: Flagon with a dragon.
Griselda: Right.
Hawkins: But did you put the pellet with the poison in the vessel with the pestle?
Griselda: No! The pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon! The vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true!
Hawkins: The pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon; the vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true.
Griselda: Just remember that.

Just curious, what's the rights situation with Walter Mitty right now? Watching on Prime and saw it opened with the Miramax logo. Does that mean Paramount owns it now or what?

I like to see release Blu-ray of The Inspector General (1949) in the future. And also love to see release White Christmas in 4K UHD.

Hoping to see both "The Inspector General" and "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty", two of my most wanted Danny Kaye titles.

One of these days I still need to pick up "On the Riviera", although even this title could use a newer scan

I'd like to see Kaye's classic early Goldwyn films released:

UP IN ARMS (1944)
WONDER MAN (1945)
THE KID FROM BROOKLYN (1946)
THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY (1947)
A SONG IS BORN (1948)

A nice release of THE INSPECTOR GENERAL (1949) would be cool as well. Maybe from WAC?
