I thought this was a fun special. For $10, I'd order it right now. For the current, $20 price, I'll wait.

I'm mostly interested in the Full Encore Q&A (49:27) since I've already seen the special, and this isn't something I'm needing to have on Blu-Ray.

It's always kind of disappointing to see an EPIX special get released on Blu-ray over something that hasn't been aired in such great quality already.

On EPIX it was superb quality of course; 17 Mbps MPEG-2, top-notch MPEG-2 encoders... I believe EPIX may be the best looking American television channel (besides the rare big dish satellite feeds that are hard for the average person to pick up).

I expect an upgrade over the broadcast nevertheless, and of course the special itself was quite good... but as mentioned previously, not $20 good.

What's the purpose of owning this on blu-ray? Just get the DVD if you have to actually own it.

Just leave. This site is clearly not for you.

This is one of the dumbest statements I have ever read here.

It's Shout Factory, so $15 is about as low as it's going to go.

That is off topic but I'm also wondering why Mallrats hasn't made it to blu yet.

Indeed, especially since it was an HD-DVD, so it should be pretty easy. We're past the 15th anniversary, I hope we don't have to wait for the 20th.

IMO Mallrats is Kevin Smiths best movie and Clerks is a close second, Clerks 2 is #3.

I liked how it started where it seemed like Kevin Smith acknowledged the main flaw in his Q&A's. He says something like "I want to talk about what you want to talk about. I want to get in as many questions, so tonight we're going to keep the answers short and tight" Then what does he do? Takes the first question of the night and goes on a lecture for the entire 3 hour+ running time.

Only problem with his Q&A's "flaws" is without those "flaws" alot of his stories wouldn't be able to be told, because he would be to worried about answering as many people's questions as possible. He could do straight-up stand up with the stories, but the Qs to his As sometimes make hilarious moments as well,I was at the Springfield,Oh Red State screening, and somebody was trying to ask a question, but he was nervous, and had some kind of condition that caused shaking anyway,so Kevin made comedy out of it,without hurting the guy's feelings, and then gave him a massage as he tried to get his question out. That is just an extreme example, but even on the Q&A DVDs there are examples of the Qs leading to funny moments.

But I am a HUGE Kevin Smith fan,so I may not be the best person to come to his defense, but I think its true.....

I know what you mean. I have all his Q&A's, even attended a few, but still one question for 3hrs and 20 minutes brought this down a lot. I know his tangents can lead to stories you wouldn't hear and some funny moments. But I wanted more variety and think this is by far his weakest Q&A available on home video.

And I mainly wanted to point out that by him saying along the lines of "i want to get in a lot of questions and keep the answers short and tight", made the whole thing unintentionally hilarious at the end.
