Default PS3 will dominate this year...

I was looking through Amazon earlier, pre-ordering a few games for this year.

I'm in awe as to how many good games are coming out for the PS3 this year. We have Metal Gear Solid 4, Killzone 2, Haze, Final Fantasy XIII, Gran Turismo 5, Prototype, Fallout 3, Grand Theft Auto 4, on and on....

Then we have Playstation Home coming out in the springtime. Blu-ray kills HD DVD. I wouldn't be surprised if there was another $50 price drop on PS3 systems this year.

I have a 360, Wii and PS3. Both the 360 and Wii have been collecting dust for the past few months. The PS3 is a sleeper...it's going to blow away the competition this year.

I wouldn't be surprised either if HD DVD drops their player price by $50 too and include 10 free HD DVD movies which basically makes it free

Amazon lists the release date as December 1, 2008 for FFXIII and FFXIII Versus.

Really? They're both being released at the same time?

how reliable is amazon?

I really hope it's true though but at the same time? It'll take me long enough to play through one, I don't really need one just sitting there until then

Those are probably just placeholder dates. I think they'll slip into Q1 of next year at least for the US. I hope not, but they may want to avoid the big Thanksgiving area where games come out and just wait a bit and come out and dominate in sales for January or February.
