Shorty after that Siskel & Ebert's 'Sneak Previews' was a must see for me every single week.

Blade Runner was the first movie that I felt like I wanted to watch over & over again. I think it was the one that really got me into watching more movies, especially longer ones.

Not really sure if only one film should get the credit but here are a few films that deserve to be nominated for this honor:

Carrie
The Exorcist
Halloween
Friday the 13th
Silent Rage
The Wizard of Oz
Dressed to Kill
The Black Hole

Haha just noticed most of those are horror films. I guess thats why thats my favorite genre. I remember these the most as a young child with big influences on me as far as movies go. Got Em!!

I was always a fan of movies but I remember watching Reservoir Dogs in my room and being blown away. I had never seen anything like it. It made me love film. I just had never seen a film like that. After it ended I new that my dream would be to become a screen writer. I remember thinking how I would love to write a script like that. I was just so amazed by Tarantino's dialog and his style.

Star Wars, as a lil' 8 year old. But its appeal has worn thin over the years.

As a teenager, Kubrick's films, like 2001, deepened my appreciation for the subtleties of a filmmaker's craft and cinema as an art form.

Easily the first "Back to the Future" film. I lost count years ago, of how many times I saw it as a kid...and when I saw "Part II" (one of my first theatrical experiences), I loved the series even more. To this day, I could probably quote the first one from memory.
